Public links only
Save public videos from social platforms
Paste a public link you are allowed to keep. Downaro returns a file only when the platform already exposes one.
Supported platforms
Each tool page has its own instructions. The homepage accepts any of these public hosts.
How it works
-
1
Copy a public link
In the official app or website, use Share → Copy link, or copy the address bar. You should be able to open that same URL while logged out.
-
2
Paste it here
Downaro validates the protocol and host, then looks for metadata the platform already advertises. Nothing is downloaded until you choose a file.
-
3
Save what is actually there
If a public file exists, you get a real download. If the post is private, expired, or only a preview, we say so. On iPhone, move the file from Files into Photos.
Why Downaro exists
Most “video downloader” results are slow, noisy, and vague about what they will not do. Downaro is built as a product: fast pages, a mobile-first paste field, and honest states when a platform does not hand over a file.
- No password fields and no unofficial apps to install.
- No fake download buttons and no automatic file grabs.
- Clear treatment of public vs login-walled posts.
- Platform pages that teach the messy URL, not a swapped keyword.
A downloader that stays in its lane
Downaro is an online video downloader for public social links. It is meant for creators backing up their own posts, teams saving assets they already have rights to, and anyone storing a public clip they are allowed to keep offline.
It is not a way around a paywall, a private account, or a DRM-protected stream. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest, and Reddit remain the owners of their products. Downaro is an independent site.
If you are on an iPhone and the clip vanished after “download,” start with the Photos guide. If a Reddit file has no sound, read why Reddit splits audio.
Questions people actually ask
What can I paste into Downaro?
A public Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest, or Reddit link that still opens when you are logged out. Do not paste private accounts, paywalled videos, or anything you are not allowed to save.
Why did Downaro refuse a link that plays in the app?
Apps stay signed in. Downaro only reads what a platform exposes to a logged-out request. If the site asks for a login, the file is not available here.
Do I need an account or a mobile app?
No. Downaro runs in the browser. We will never ask for an Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or X password.
Where does the file go on iPhone?
Safari usually saves it in the Files app, not Photos. Use Share → Save Video. The iPhone guide on this site walks through that path.
